#30: The Breathtaking Coastline of Cuba
Cuba’s coastline, stretching an impressive 3,570 miles (5,745 kilometers), is a striking mosaic of rugged cliffs, serene bays, lush aquatic vegetation, and postcard-worthy beaches. The island’s marine beauty extends below the surface as well—an underwater platform envelops Cuba, adding another 30,000 square miles (78,000 square kilometers) to its ecological footprint.

Off the northern coast lie vibrant archipelagos such as Los Colorados, Sabana, and Camagüey, while to the south, the enchanting Jardines de la Reina—or “Queen’s Gardens”—offer a sanctuary of coral reefs and marine life. Inland, marvels like the 16-mile-long Cave of Santo Tomás.
