Their love story is the stuff of legend, as their great-grandmother was faced with the difficult choice between two suitors, one in America and the other in Manchester, UK.
Despite the fact that the American suitor had bought her a ticket to cross the Atlantic and be with him, the English suitor’s last-minute declaration of love won her heart. This fateful decision brought the couple together and prevented the great-grandmother from meeting her untimely end on the Titanic. It’s a funny reminder that sometimes love really does conquer all and that the unexpected twists and turns of life can lead us to our true destiny.
