#11: Why There Were Only Three Chairs at the Kitchen Table
Fans of The Golden Girls might notice something unusual during the show’s famous late-night kitchen scenes. Even though four women lived in the house, there were almost always only three chairs around that iconic kitchen table.

The reason had everything to do with filming logistics. With the “fourth wall” of the set open for cameras and crew, squeezing four actresses shoulder-to-shoulder would have made the shots awkward. Keeping three chairs allowed the actors to move naturally while still capturing those beloved cheesecake conversations.
